BPOCNC formed to celebrate the Hindu Puja activities. Celebrating the Durga Puja, which is the biggest festival of Bengali Hindus is the main activity of the organization. Durga Puja is a celebration of the Mother Goddess, and the victory of the revered warrior Goddess Durga over Mahishasur, the evil buffalo demon. Ma Durga is worshipped as Durgotinashini, the destroyer of evil and the protector of her devotees. Since 2013 every year the organization arranges all day puja and cultural event to celebrate Durga Puja. This annual event is open to all.
